Tension Erupts At Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Secretariat As Party Leaders Allegedly Attacked By Hoodlums

What was meant to be a routine and peaceful visit by leaders of the party in the local government turned chaotic on arrival at the Local Government Secretariat, as violence reportedly broke out in shocking circumstances.

According to eyewitness accounts, a delegation of party leadership figures; Hon. Segun Ojolowo Ojuko, Party Local Government Chairman JJ Akeran, Hon. Sherif Ibeman, Hon. Muse, High Chief Olanrewaju Bashorun (popularly known as LarryBash), alongside several supporters had gathered to formally seek audience with the Local Government Chairman on issues arising from the recently conducted congress.

Sources present at the scene said the group arrived unarmed with the intention to dialogue with aggrieved party members. 

However, the event that is suppose to be a dialogue/parley abruptly turn to a free for all fight as LarryBash delegates were accosted by Hon. Tunji Akinosi’s entourage, who eye witnesses claimed to have allegedly appeared at the scene of the incident fully armed with dangerous weapons.

In what many described as a premeditated show of force, members of the other delegates were reportedly waylaid at the Secretariat premises today, February 21,2026. Stones, bottles, chairs and other dangerous weapons were hurled in their direction, creating panic and confusion. Supporters scattered for safety and run for their dear lives as the situation abruptly becomes chaotic!

Several eyewitnesses claim that the confrontation escalated into physical altercations, with young supporters allegedly attacked during the melee. The Secretariat, ordinarily a symbol of governance and democratic engagement, became a theatre of violence within the twinkle of an eye!

The situation might have worsened, if not for the timely intervention of High Chief Akindele Eleku, who reportedly stepped in to douse the tensions and pleaded for safe passage. Before LarryBash and members of his delegate were able to leave the premises unharmed.

Those present described the atmosphere as tense, chaotic, and deeply troubling. Many were shocked to the marrow that internal party matters could degenerate to such an open hostility.

The incident has since sparked conversations within political circles in the local government, with stakeholders calling for restraint, accountability, and a return to peaceful engagement.
