Members of the Association of motorcycle Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), Ogun State Chapter, under the leadership of Otunba Taofeeq Sokoya, gathered in Ota for their 2026 Annual Ramadan Lecture and Iftar, a spiritual and social event aimed at promoting unity, faith, and brotherhood among members.
The well-attended programme, held in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, brought together members of the association, Islamic scholars, community leaders, and invited guests who converged to reflect on the teachings of Islam and the importance of peace, charity, and communal harmony.
The event was graciously hosted by Alhaji Kamal Oluwatoyin Kelani, popularly known as “K Square,” the Secretary of the Union, whose commitment to the welfare and unity of members was widely commended during the gathering.
In his remarks, Otunba Taofeeq Sokoya, the state leader of AMORAN in Ogun State, emphasized the importance of Ramadan as a period of spiritual purification, sacrifice, and renewed dedication to moral values. He encouraged members to use the season to strengthen their faith, support one another, and continue to contribute positively to society.
The Ramadan lecture delivered by respected Islamic scholars focused on themes of discipline, humility, generosity, and the responsibility of Muslims to promote peace and unity within their communities. Participants were reminded that Ramadan is not only about fasting but also about compassion, kindness, and self-reflection.
The lecture session was followed by the Iftar (breaking of fast) where members and guests shared meals together in a warm atmosphere of brotherhood and fellowship. The moment symbolized the essence of Ramadan — unity, gratitude, and communal support.
Many members of AMORAN expressed appreciation to the leadership of Otunba Taofeeq Sokoya for sustaining the annual tradition, describing the programme as an avenue that strengthens the bond among practitioners while also promoting spiritual growth.
Special commendation was also extended to Alhaji Kamal Oluwatoyin Kelani (K Square) for hosting the event and for his continued dedication to the progress of the union.
