His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, once again demonstrated why he remains one of the most respected traditional rulers in Ogun State, as the palace of the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland became a center of dialogue, reconciliation, leadership, and unity through a series of strategic engagements with key stakeholders across the region.
The royal palace came alive with dignitaries, traditional leaders, youth representatives, security officials, and community stakeholders, all seeking the wisdom, guidance, and fatherly leadership of Kabiyesi, whose reign continues to symbolize peace, stability, and collective progress in Yewaland.
One of the major highlights of the day was the visit of the Olori Odo Yewa Forum, a body of traditional youth chiefs from across Yewaland, led by Chief Adedeji Ogunleye. The delegation paid a courtesy visit to the monarch in a show of loyalty and solidarity.
Welcoming the youth leaders, Oba Olugbenle applauded their unity, coordination, and commitment to preserving the cultural identity and developmental aspirations of Yewaland. He described the Olori-Odos as an important bridge between tradition and the younger generation, urging them to continue promoting peace, discipline, and community advancement.
Kabiyesi emphasized that the future of Yewaland rests heavily on the strength, unity, and vision of its youths, encouraging the forum to remain focused, progressive, and supportive of initiatives that will bring sustainable growth to the region. The visit ended on a highly spiritual and inspiring note as the monarch offered royal blessings and prayers for wisdom, prosperity, and greater unity among the youth leaders.
In another significant engagement, the monarch received the newly appointed Yewa South Area Coordinator of the Amotekun Corps, Dalamu Olusola, on a familiarization visit aimed at reinforcing cooperation between traditional institutions and local security agencies.
The meeting reflected Oba Olugbenle’s enduring commitment to community security and grassroots peacebuilding. Discussions centered on strengthening intelligence sharing, improving local vigilance, and sustaining peace across communities within Yewaland. Kabiyesi reaffirmed the important role traditional rulers must continue to play in supporting security agencies and protecting the lives and properties of the people.
Perhaps the most notable meeting of the day was the reconciliatory gathering convened by the Paramount Ruler over the growing controversy surrounding the proposed dairy farm project within Yewa South and Ipokia Local Government Areas.
The peace meeting brought together Oba Nathaniel Sunday Fashina, Hon. Bolanle Lateefat Ajayi, Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, and prominent sons and daughters of Itoro-Yewa to address tensions and misconceptions generated by the issue.
The controversy, which had sparked concerns and emotional reactions within parts of the community, particularly over reports and allegations linked to the arrest of some Itoro indigenes, was carefully addressed through constructive dialogue facilitated by Kabiyesi.
In his fatherly intervention, Oba Olugbenle urged all parties to embrace peace, truth, understanding, and maturity, stressing that development can only thrive where unity and mutual respect exist. He cautioned against misinformation, division, and actions capable of destabilizing communal harmony, while encouraging stakeholders to pursue peaceful engagement and collective solutions.
The meeting further reinforced the monarch’s growing reputation as a respected mediator and stabilizing force whose leadership continues to foster reconciliation and social cohesion across Yewaland.
Earlier in the week, the palace also hosted leaders of the Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) in Ogun State, led by the State Chairman, Alhaji Shakirudeen Olalekan, in a visit that reflected the strong relationship between the traditional institution and faith-based organizations in promoting moral values and societal development.
Similarly, representatives of the Ijebu Traditional Council of Obas, led by Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adebayo, paid a courtesy visit to Kabiyesi. Discussions during the meeting focused on strengthening intertraditional cooperation, advancing the development of Ogun State, and sustaining political stability ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The palace also welcomed the Oba-elect of Tongeji Island, Prince Emmanuel Oku, who arrived alongside kingmakers and family members to appreciate Oba Olugbenle for his guidance, support, and fatherly counsel throughout the traditional process that led to his emergence.
Across every engagement, one message remained clear — Oba Olugbenle continues to stand as a symbol of wisdom, unity, reconciliation, and visionary leadership in Yewaland. Through dialogue, inclusiveness, and unwavering commitment to peace, the revered monarch is steadily building a stronger and more united Yewaland anchored on shared prosperity, harmony, and collective identity.
