In every generation, there are men whose lives become living testimonies of resilience, grace, loyalty, sacrifice, and divine favour. Such personalities do not merely grow in age; they grow in influence, wisdom, and impact. One of such distinguished figures is Alhaji, Hon. Chief Yomi Olojeloju, fondly known across Aworiland and beyond as YOMMAZ, who clocks 60 in a blaze of honour, gratitude, and fulfilled purpose.
At sixty, Yommaz is not just celebrating years; he is celebrating survival, service, success, and a lifelong journey marked by uncommon determination and the unmistakable hand of Almighty Allah.
For the respected public relations strategist, politician, advertising guru, grassroots mobiliser, and community leader, life has never been a smooth sail. It has been a path defined by trials, perseverance, spiritual battles, victories, disappointments, breakthroughs, and divine intervention.
Reflecting on his remarkable journey, the celebrant humbly declared:
“What else can I say other than to glorify Almighty Allah. Six decades on the surface of the earth is by no means an easy journey. This is neither by my power nor my wisdom nor my influence. It is by the grace of Almighty Allah.”
Those who know Yommaz understand that humility has always been one of his strongest virtues. Despite his accomplishments and vast network of influential relationships, he has remained deeply connected to his roots and eternally grateful to God and humanity.
Born into the family of Pa Olojeloju Rasak (O’leto) and Alhaja Olojeloju, young Yomi began life from humble beginnings, learning early the realities of hardship, discipline, and endurance. His educational pursuit took him across different parts of Nigeria — from his hometown elementary school at A.U.D., to Araromi Orita Atan-Ota, Ojere in Abeokuta, Ago-Iwoye, Maiduguri, Lagos, and eventually back to Otta.
That movement across cultures and communities shaped his worldview, sharpened his survival instincts, and built the resilience that would later define his personality.
His professional journey equally reflected brilliance and versatility. Yomi Olojeloju carved a niche for himself in the highly competitive world of media, public relations, advertising, and marketing communications. His experience at the iconic Concord Newspapers, founded by the late business mogul and democracy icon, Bashorun MKO Abiola, became one of the defining chapters of his life.
At Concord, Yommaz worked under some of Nigeria’s brightest media minds, including the current Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Hon. Dele Alake, who then served as Editor of Sunday Concord. The exposure refined his communication skills, strategic thinking, and political consciousness.
From public relations consulting to project management and later establishing YOMMAZ ADVERTISING LTD, he steadily built a respected professional reputation anchored on creativity, commitment, and grassroots understanding.
Yet, beyond business and professional accomplishments, politics eventually became another platform through which he expressed his passion for people and community development.
In Ota and across Ogun State political circles, Yommaz emerged as a familiar and respected voice — a bridge builder, mobiliser, grassroots strategist, and loyal party man whose influence transcends political camps.
His political journey brought him closer to several notable leaders and traditional institutions that helped shape his philosophy and leadership style.
With profound gratitude, he acknowledges personalities whose mentorship, support, and inspiration became ladders in his life journey. These include respected corporate administrator Dr. Samuel Adenekan, the late Bashorun MKO Abiola, Hon. Minister Dele Alake, the late Asiwaju of Aworiland Senator Ayodeji Solomon Otegbola, the late Olota of Ota Oba Alani Oyede, Distinguished Senator Olamilekan Adeola YAYI, Chief Samuel Durojaye Ayedogbon, Distinguished Jimoh Olushola Ojugbele, Chief Jide Ojuko, and the incumbent Olota of Ota, His Majesty Oba Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege.
To Yommaz, these men were not merely associates; they were pillars, motivators, and destiny helpers whose contributions he openly celebrates with deep sincerity.
His relationship with traditional institutions, political structures, and community leadership in Aworiland has continued to earn him admiration as a man deeply committed to the growth and stability of his people.
Indeed, many who have encountered him describe him as courageous, outspoken, compassionate, strategic, and remarkably loyal. Through seasons of turbulence and triumph, he has consistently demonstrated uncommon resilience.
But perhaps the most striking aspect of his story is his unwavering faith in Allah.
Despite confronting what he described as “human and spiritual challenges,” Yommaz never surrendered to despair. Instead, he drew strength from faith, perseverance, and hope.
In his words:
“With the Allah I serve and believe in, I managed to always cross the rubicon. Till date, I give praises to the omnipotent Allah for this rare grace.”
That statement perfectly captures the philosophy of a man who understands that true greatness is impossible without divine mercy.
As family members, friends, political associates, traditional rulers, media practitioners, business associates, and admirers gather to celebrate him at 60, the occasion becomes more than a birthday celebration. It becomes a celebration of endurance, impact, loyalty, and purposeful living.
Yommaz represents a generation of men who built themselves through persistence, relationships, credibility, and community relevance. His life story reminds younger generations that success is not always instant, and greatness is often born from struggles quietly conquered.
At sixty, Alhaji, Hon. Chief Yomi Olojeloju stands tall as a respected son of Aworiland, a seasoned communications expert, a political mobiliser, a community stakeholder, and above all, a grateful servant of Almighty Allah.
Without doubt, the journey continues.
And as many admirers often say across Ota and beyond:
“Yommaz is not just a name; it is a story of resilience, loyalty, and grace.”
Happy 60th Birthday to a distinguished administrator, grassroots politician, media strategist, and proud ambassador of Aworiland.
May the years ahead bring greater peace, sound health, more influence, and enduring fulfilment.
On behalf of the entire Management, Editorial Board, and Staff of Dreams Alive Media Network, publishers of The Unusual People International Magazine and Yewa-Awori News, we heartily congratulate and celebrate Alhaji, Hon. Chief Yomi Olojeloju (YOMMAZ) on the occasion of his 60th Birthday Anniversary. Happy Birthday sir.
