Ogun State House of Assembly has confirmed the nomination of Mrs. Nike Osoba for appointment as Commissioner in the State Executive Council following her screening at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Presiding over the plenary, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, alongside other lawmakers, charged the nominee to justify the confidence reposed in her by contributing meaningfully to the continued growth and development of Ogun State through quality service delivery and dedication to duty.
The confirmation followed the consideration and adoption of the report of the Committee of the Whole House chaired by the Speaker, where lawmakers expressed satisfaction with her credentials, experience, and impressive performance during the screening exercise.
According to the resolution of the House, the confirmation was in line with the request forwarded by Governor Dapo Abiodun seeking legislative approval for her appointment as Commissioner after the lawmakers thoroughly examined her curriculum vitae and engaged her during the screening process.
The lawmakers noted that Mrs. Nike Osoba possesses vast administrative and leadership experience required to strengthen governance and support the developmental agenda of the present administration.
Following the confirmation, the Speaker directed the Clerk/Head of Legislative Service, Mr. Sakiru Adebakin, to transmit the House resolution to the Governor for further necessary action.
Mrs. Nike Osoba is widely known for her commitment to public service and governance, having previously served in key leadership capacities in Ogun State.
