It is with deep sadness that I received the news of the passing of Elder Chief Michael Adelani Ogundimu (Baba Yayi), the revered family patriarch and beloved uncle of our leader, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, FCA, CON (YAYI).
On behalf of the management and staff of Al-Hatyq Travels and Tours Limited, I extend my heartfelt condolences to Senator YAYI, the entire Onibata Family of Ago Isaga Compound, Pahayi-Yewa, Ilaro, and all those touched by this great loss.
The passing of Baba Yayi is not only a loss to his family but also to the Pahayi-Yewa community and Ogun West. His exemplary life, wisdom, integrity, and selfless service as the Akinrogun of Pahayi-Yewa and former Councillor of Ilaro Ward 1 will remain a lasting legacy for generations to come.
At moments like this, we take solace in the knowledge that every soul shall return to its Creator. We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT), in His infinite mercy, forgives all his shortcomings, accepts his good deeds as acts of Ibadah, widens and illuminates his grave, grants him eternal rest, and admits him into Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
May Allah also grant Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), the entire Ogundimu and Onibata families, and all loved ones the strength, patience, and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un.
Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall all return.
