President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has inaugurated the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) ahead of the 2027 general elections, marking another step in the party’s preparations for the forthcoming presidential contest.
The inauguration took place on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, with party leaders and other political stakeholders expected to coordinate campaign activities and mobilisation efforts nationwide.
Hon. Olanrewaju Bashorun, the APC candidate for Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency, is among the campaign council.
The council is expected to coordinate campaign strategy, public communication, grassroots engagement and mobilisation in support of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
The inauguration comes as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the APC working to coordinate its structures and engage stakeholders across the country.
For Ogun State, the development is of interest to party stakeholders and supporters as preparations continue for the next electoral cycle.
