The political landscape in Ogun West is steadily gathering momentum as Prince Boluwatife Adeyanju, a rising politician and entrepreneur, has thrown his full weight behind the Yayi Legacy 2027 Movement, describing it as a strategic pathway to sustaining growth, stability, and inclusive development across the senatorial district.
The movement, championed by Hon. (Chief) Akinpelu Nurudeen Aina—popularly known as Legacy and Baamofin of Otta-Aworiland—is aimed at positioning him for the Ogun West Senatorial seat in 2027, while consolidating on the impactful leadership of Senator Olamilekan Adeola, widely known as Yayi, who is strongly tipped as a leading contender in the forthcoming Ogun State governorship race.
Prince Adeyanju, an alumnus of the University of Brighton, United Kingdom, where he studied Project Management for Construction, expressed unwavering confidence in Aina’s leadership credentials. He described the former two-term member of the Ogun State House of Assembly (2011–2019) as a dependable, grassroots-oriented leader whose experience and loyalty make him exceptionally suited for higher legislative responsibility.
According to him, the combination of a Yayi-led governorship and a Legacy-driven senatorial representation presents a formidable leadership synergy capable of accelerating development, attracting investments, and strengthening governance across Ogun West.
“This movement is anchored on continuity, competence, and proven results. Ogun West cannot afford to lose the progress already achieved—we must build on it,” Adeyanju stated.
Demonstrating commitment beyond rhetoric, Adeyanju has pledged to actively mobilize support across the five local government areas in Ogun West. His plan includes engaging stakeholders, grassroots communities, and youth groups to amplify awareness of the achievements and vision associated with both Yayi and Aina.
He was notably present at the Ota Ward 1 declaration event, where Hon. Aina formally announced his intention to contest the 2027 senatorial election—an appearance that further signaled Adeyanju’s dedication to the movement.
With growing endorsements from influential stakeholders and increasing grassroots mobilization, political observers note that the Yayi Legacy 2027 Movement is rapidly evolving into a formidable political force—one that could significantly shape the future leadership and development trajectory of Ogun West.
