On Monday, 20th April 2026, the ancient city of Ota witnessed a remarkable spiritual and cultural gathering as a special Aje procession was held under the leadership of His Majesty, Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, Ph.D. (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode, Olofin Apesin Olode), the Olota of Ottaland and Paramount Ruler of the Awori Kingdom.
The solemn yet vibrant ceremony was dedicated to Aje, the revered Yoruba deity of wealth and prosperity, with prayers and rites offered for continued abundance, stability, and economic growth across the kingdom.
During the procession, Kabiyesi offered heartfelt prayers for the well-being of all subjects of the kingdom, the sustained growth of surrounding communities, and the flourishing of businesses within Ottaland. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining economic vitality, noting Ota’s rising profile as a hub of investment and development.
The Olota reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Awori people, describing it as a vital pillar for unity, identity, and progress in the kingdom.
The atmosphere was filled with deep spiritual significance, traditional chants, and cultural expressions that reflected the enduring connection between the people and their ancestral heritage.
