The ancient town of Ilaro came alive with political energy, hope, and renewed determination as leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Ogun West gathered for a historic stakeholders’ meeting aimed at charting a united political future for the district.
Among the respected political figures whose presence drew admiration and applause was former Senator Prince Gbolahan Dada, a prominent Awori son, statesman, and loyal APC stalwart who represented Ogun West Senatorial District between 2015 and 2019.
The gathering, which formally presented Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola as the consensus governorship candidate of the APC ahead of the 2027 political journey, was described by many attendees as a defining moment in the collective struggle for the emergence of the first governor from Ogun West.
For many observers, however, one of the most inspiring highlights of the meeting was the remarkable display of unity, maturity, and party loyalty demonstrated by Prince Gbolahan Dada.
Despite being a frontline aspirant for the Ogun West senatorial seat, Senator Dada put personal ambition aside and stood firmly with other party leaders in solidarity for the larger vision of Ogun West. His attendance at the strategic meeting was seen as a powerful message that the collective interest of the region must always come above individual aspirations.
Addressing party faithful and stakeholders at the meeting, Prince Dada reportedly reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the APC and the Ogun West agenda, promising to fully mobilise his political structure, loyalists, supporters, and extensive grassroots network to work tirelessly for the success of Senator Adeola’s governorship aspiration.
According to him, the dream of producing the first governor from Ogun West remains a historic responsibility that demands unity, sacrifice, and collective commitment from all sons and daughters of the district.
Political analysts at the event noted that Dada’s open declaration of support further strengthened the growing coalition within Ogun West APC, especially among Awori and Yewa political blocs who have continued to rally around the vision of fairness, equity, and regional inclusion in Ogun State politics.
Many stakeholders also described Senator Dada’s action as a rare demonstration of statesmanship and political maturity in an era where personal interests often overshadow collective goals.
Supporters at the meeting applauded him for remaining a faithful party man whose loyalty to the APC and dedication to Ogun West development have remained consistent over the years.
As chants of unity and victory echoed across the venue in Ilaro, many party faithful left the meeting convinced that Ogun West may finally be entering a defining political chapter — one driven by experienced leaders, shared vision, and a common determination to rewrite the political history of the district.
For Prince Gbolahan Dada, his message was clear and unmistakable: the Ogun West project is bigger than any individual, and the time has come for all stakeholders to stand together for the emergence of a new political future for the people.
