High Chief Olanrewaju Bashorun, popularly known as Larrybash, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency to conduct themselves peacefully and responsibly as the party holds its primary election today, May 16, 2026, to select its candidate for the forthcoming general election.
In a goodwill message released ahead of the exercise, Larrybash emphasized the importance of unity, maturity, and party discipline throughout the electoral process, describing the primary election as a critical moment in the democratic journey of the party within the constituency.
He urged delegates, party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters to embrace peace and fairness, stressing that the strength of the APC lies in its ability to remain united despite differing political interests and aspirations.
According to him, the primary election should not be seen as a battle among brothers, but as an internal democratic process aimed at producing a credible and widely accepted candidate capable of representing the interests of the people of Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency.
Larrybash further noted that the APC remains a progressive family built on mutual respect, loyalty, and collective responsibility, adding that every aspirant and supporter must place the overall success of the party above personal ambition.
He also expressed confidence in the leadership of the party to deliver a transparent and credible process that would further strengthen the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
While wishing all aspirants success in the exercise, he appealed to party faithful to avoid acts capable of causing division, violence, or unnecessary tension before, during, and after the primary election.
“I wish every aspirant and party stakeholder a successful and peaceful primary election. At the end of the day, victory for the APC and the continued progress of our constituency should remain our collective priority,” he stated.
