Ado-Odo/Ota, Ogun State – 16 May 2026 – High Chief Olanrewaju Bashorun, popularly known as LARRYBASH, has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the House of Representatives in Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency for the 2027 general election.
The primary election was held on Saturday, 16 May 2026 across the 16 wards that make up the federal constituency. The Returning Officer, Dr. Samuel Ibidapo Odukoya, announced that Bashorun polled 17,740 votes, the highest in the primary. He was duly declared the APC candidate at the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Secretariat.
The exercise was observed and certified by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in accordance with the Electoral Act. INEC described the process as credible, free, and fair. Security agencies also provided adequate coverage to ensure the safety of voters and the integrity of the process.
Party executives, chieftains, and members turned out in unprecedented numbers, a turnout attributed to Bashorun’s standing within the constituency and his record of grassroots engagement.
Bashorun expressed gratitude to party leaders, delegates, and supporters for the confidence reposed in him. He pledged to run an issue-based campaign focused on development, representation, and unity for Ado-Odo/Ota.
