The consolidation and reconciliation efforts within the Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gathered further momentum as the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), and his running mate, Mrs. Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Balogun (KAAB), met with party leaders and stakeholders in Ijebu East Local Government Area.
The strategic engagement, held as part of the ongoing grassroots mobilization and unity campaign across the state, attracted prominent political figures, party executives, former aspirants and influential community leaders who reaffirmed their commitment to the APC and its vision for Ogun State.
Speaking at the meeting, Senator Adeola emphasized the need for party cohesion and collective responsibility ahead of the forthcoming electioneering campaigns. He described his deputy governorship candidate as a woman of proven capacity, integrity and administrative competence whose experience would complement efforts to deliver purposeful governance and sustainable development across the state.
The APC standard-bearer urged members to remain united and committed to the party’s objectives, stressing that victory at all levels would require collaboration, reconciliation and sustained grassroots engagement.
The meeting was attended by notable leaders including Kunle Salako, Segun Adesegun, Chief J.K.O. Ogundeko, Hon. Adegbesan of the House of Representatives, Chief Aloro, Baba Ariya, Hon. O. Onamusi, party executives, former political aspirants and other stakeholders from the local government area.
In their separate remarks, several stakeholders pledged unwavering support for the YAYI-KAAB ticket, expressing confidence in the leadership capacity of the duo and their ability to advance the socio-economic development of Ogun State.
The gathering also received a morale boost from popular gospel comedian and entertainer, Woli Arole, who joined supporters in encouraging the APC governorship team and commending its commitment to inclusive leadership and grassroots development.
Political observers view the Ijebu East meeting as another significant step in the APC’s ongoing consolidation agenda, aimed at strengthening party structures, fostering reconciliation among stakeholders and building a formidable platform ahead of future electoral contests in Ogun State.
The visit forms part of a wider statewide consultation and mobilization programme by Team YAYI-KAAB designed to deepen grassroots participation and reinforce support for the APC across Ogun’s three senatorial districts.
