The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State for the 2027 election, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), on Thursday, July 9, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, alongside his running mate and the party’s deputy governorship candidate, Mrs. Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun.
The visit, which took place in Abuja, was part of the APC leadership’s ongoing consultations with key national stakeholders as preparations continue ahead of the 2027 general elections. Mrs. Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and former Chief Financial Officer of Rite Foods Limited, was recently unveiled by the Ogun APC as Senator Adeola’s running mate.
The visit underscores the growing collaboration between the Ogun APC governorship ticket and national leaders of the party as Senator Adeola and Mrs. Adegunwa-Balogun continue consultations with prominent personalities in pursuit of their vision for Ogun State.
The APC governorship candidate has in recent weeks embarked on a series of high-level engagements with respected national leaders and statesmen, presenting his development agenda for Ogun State and seeking their guidance and support ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The meeting focused on issues of national development, inclusive leadership, and policies aimed at enhancing the welfare and well-being of Nigerians. The APC delegation was warmly received by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, whose counsel was described as invaluable and motherly.
The meeting concluded with prayers for the continued peace, unity, and progress of Nigeria, as the delegation reaffirmed its commitment to promoting good governance, inclusive leadership, and sustainable development for Ogun State and the nation at large.
