The Ijebu Traditional Council, comprising 56 monarchs, has endorsed the governorship aspiration of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) and his running mate, Alhaja Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Balogun, following their formal presentation by Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates for the 2027 governorship election.
At the meeting chaired by the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo, Oba Lawrence Jayeoba Adebajo, Governor Abiodun explained the party’s decision to nominate Senator Adeola, after which the royal fathers unanimously offered their blessings and endorsed the APC ticket.
In appreciation of the support and in recognition of the traditional institution, Senator Adeola donated a brand-new Toyota Coaster Bus to the Ijebu Traditional Council to facilitate its official activities.
The event was attended by top APC leaders, government officials, traditional rulers, and other prominent stakeholders from across Ogun State.
