The governorship aspiration of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) received a significant boost on Tuesday as no fewer than 3,000 Baales under the umbrella of the Ogun State Council of Baales unanimously endorsed his candidature for the 2027 governorship election.
The endorsement took place during an engagement between the APC governorship candidate and members of the Council, led by its President, Chief Tunji Falola.
Speaking at the gathering, the Baales declared that their decision to support Senator Adeola was based on what they described as his outstanding performance and beneficial relationship with traditional institutions across Ogun State over the past four years.
According to the Council, the senator has consistently demonstrated commitment to community development, grassroots empowerment, and the welfare of the people, earning him the confidence and support of traditional leaders across the state.
Responding to the endorsement, Senator Adeola expressed profound gratitude to the Baales for their confidence in his leadership and vision for Ogun State.
He described the endorsement as a great honour and a call to greater service, assuring the traditional leaders that he would continue to pursue policies and programmes that would promote inclusive development, economic growth, and improved welfare for all residents of the state.
“I give all glory to God for this overwhelming show of love and confidence by the Baales across Ogun State. Their support is deeply appreciated, and I remain committed to building a greater Ogun State where every community will enjoy sustainable development,” he said.

Political observers described the endorsement by the 3,000 Baales as a major milestone in Senator Adeola’s governorship campaign, noting that the support of grassroots traditional leaders is expected to further strengthen his statewide acceptance ahead of the 2027 election.
