Olota to LarryBash: Sustain Your Commitment to Humanity, Community Development
The Olota of Ota, His Majesty Oba (Prof.) Abdulkabir Adeyemi Obalanlege, has received the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election, High Chief Olanrewaju Bashorun, popularly known as LarryBash.
Oba Obalanlege received the APC candidate on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at the Ipeti Royal Square, within the Olota’s Palace, Ota, during a courtesy visit ahead of the commencement of the party’s formal campaign activities in the constituency.
LarryBash explained that the visit was to pay homage to the monarch and seek his continued counsel and support as he prepares to formally commence engagements with the electorate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He said the visit also provided an opportunity to appreciate the Olota for his fatherly support, wise counsel and encouragement towards his political aspiration.
The APC candidate assured the monarch that, if elected, he would represent the people of Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency with dedication, integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.
LarryBash pledged to make the constituency proud through effective representation, people-oriented initiatives and meaningful contributions to the development of the federal constituency.
Responding, the Olota congratulated LarryBash on his emergence as the APC candidate and urged him to sustain his commitment to community development and humanitarian service.
The monarch commended the candidate for what he described as his longstanding contributions to the welfare of the people, support for the less privileged and contributions to the traditional institution.
Oba Obalanlege noted that LarryBash’s humanitarian activities and commitment to community development predated his active involvement in partisan politics, describing his emergence as the APC candidate as a reflection of his character and reputation as an Omoluabi.
According to the monarch, an Omoluabi is distinguished by good character, integrity, responsibility, humility and respect for others.
The Olota also expressed his willingness to receive LarryBash and the APC leadership for a broader engagement at a later date, when the party formally presents its candidates to traditional rulers, community leaders and other stakeholders across the federal constituency.
The visit ended with prayers by the monarch for LarryBash and his team, as they continue their consultations and engagements with stakeholders and constituents ahead of the 2027 election.
