Hon. Kareem Tolani Oyindamola (KTO), Senior Special Assistant to the Ogun State Governor, has joined the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council, in celebrating its golden jubilee, recognising five decades of professional journalism, public enlightenment and contributions to societal development.
The milestone marks 50 years of dedication by journalists who have continued to inform the public, promote accountability and amplify the voices of citizens through responsible reporting.
KTO’s identification with the anniversary underscores the importance of a strong and credible media in promoting good governance, strengthening democracy and bridging the communication gap between government and the people.
As journalism evolves in the digital age, the golden jubilee also presents an opportunity to renew commitment to professionalism, ethical standards, journalists’ welfare and the pursuit of truth.
The celebration honours the pioneers whose sacrifices built the profession while inspiring a new generation of journalists to uphold integrity, courage and public service.
As NUJ Ogun marks this historic milestone, KTO’s solidarity reinforces a timeless truth: a responsible media remains an indispensable partner in building an ninformed society and a progressive Ogun State.
Congratulations to NUJ Ogun State Council on 50 years of distinguished service to journalism and society!
