The ancient town of Ado-Odo Yewa came alive in a grand atmosphere of culture, royalty, celebration, and unity as His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, the Olu Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, who also serves as the Chairman of the Ogun State Council of Obas, yesterday, 16th May 2026, graced the colourful celebration marking the second coronation anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Oba Idris Olushola Lamidi-Osolo, the Olofin of Ado-Odo Yewa.
The remarkable occasion attracted an array of eminent personalities from across Ogun State and beyond, including the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Her Excellency, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, revered traditional rulers, political leaders, government officials, community stakeholders, and illustrious sons and daughters of Ado-Odo Yewa, all united in celebrating the monarch’s impactful two years on the throne of his forefathers.
In a major highlight of the celebration, the Olu Ilaro officially presented a brand new Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) to the Olofin of Ado-Odo on behalf of the Executive Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, CON, MFR. The presentation formed part of the official distribution of vehicles earlier approved and presented to members of the Ogun State Council of Obas by the Governor in recognition of the vital roles traditional rulers continue to play in sustaining peace, unity, and grassroots development across the state.
Speaking during the event, Oba Olugbenle warmly congratulated Oba Lamidi-Osolo on the successful celebration of his second coronation anniversary, applauding his purposeful leadership, commitment to peace, and dedication to the growth and progress of Ado-Odo Yewa.
The Paramount Ruler offered prayers for the monarch, wishing him many more prosperous and impactful years on the throne, accompanied by enduring peace, accelerated development, and greater prosperity for the people of Ado-Odo Yewa Kingdom.
The anniversary celebration further reflected the unity, respect, and strong cultural heritage that continue to define the traditional institution in Ogun State.
